Our client is the leading supplier of networking equipment & network management for the Internet. Products include routers, hubs, Ethernet and a wide variety of other products, emerging software and services offerings.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing a sales team of 7 direct Account Managers and 7 indirect Systems Engineers to develop new business relationships with the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice. He/she will manage and grow existing and new business annual booking/revenue quota of $80+M with significant growth in subsequent years. The Manager will develop and execute sales strategy and tactics that maximize Cisco opportunities at executive levels within the account., as well as drive sales team to earn new business and expand the use of existing and new products. He/she will also be responsible for growing quota objectives by advancing customer relationships and improve communications with DHS and DOJ executives.
The candidate must have at least 5-10 years experience with managing technical sales teams, providing success as a relationship builder at large enterprise accounts in government and/or related public sector entities. Experience with replacing incumbent competitors and protecting the company’s installed base at all times is required. The successful candidate will have a track record of achieving quota goals in a matrix-oriented and collaborate environment on a consistent basis is a must. He/she will demonstrate the ability to negotiate win/win relationships with internal and external customers or value-add partners. Experience with working with a technology vendor providing solution based selling techniques and motivating and developing sales teams is required.
BA degree - MBA or graduate degree preferred.
