Account Manager

Our client is the leading supplier of networking equipment & network management for the Internet. Products include routers, hubs, Ethernet and a wide variety of other products, emerging software and services offerings.

The Account Manager is responsible for mostly “hunting” for new business and managing relationships with key Service Providers in the Chicago and Midwest market with existing customers and prospects rarely covered in previous years. Launch an ongoing strong and highly effective business relationship with accounts and prospective accounts presently doing small volume and identifying ways to continually grow the mindshare. Work to build new business relationships to promote brand products versus competition.

The candidate must have 3-5 years experience in technology sales, proving success as a hunter and replacing incumbent competitors and protecting the company’s installed base. Demonstrating an ability and experience with negotiating win-win relationships with partners and customers as well as with internal partners is critical. Having worked in an environment where team selling is used and where solutions result in delivering business value is required. Demonstrate sales leadership and quota attainment on a consistent basis.

Bachelors Degree- MBA is a plus.
