The Vice President is responsible for leading all aspects of continuing education and training -- including products, content and delivery -- to the AHIMA membership and affiliated audiences. This role is critical in positioning AHIMA as a leader in the evolution of HIM concepts and practices as well as in generating significant revenue that directly contributes to support AHIMA’s mission.
The candidate will have experience in leading adult education and instructional design through a variety of delivery channels -- bringing strong design, learning and delivery principles and discipline to the table. Having product/program development experience in a for-profit organization is required. Exposure to the healthcare industry and the role data plays in it is helpful. Proven project management, strategic planning, financial analysis, and contract negotiation skills are essential. The candidate will have proven success in building excellent relationships internally in the organization and have experience leading a sizeable staff.
Undergraduate and graduate degrees with some concentration in business, education or management are required.
