Vic Thorne brings a background of both investment and operating experience, spanning Fortune 500 corporations to his own entrepreneurial ventures. Vic’s practice focuses on senior-level searches in a wide variety of functions and industries, with particular focus on food, financial and technology industries, venture capital and the supply chain management function.
Prior to joining Coffou Partners, Vic co-founded and was a principal of a private equity firm that partners with blue chip institutional investors based in the US, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and Russia. Prior to that, he was an officer and SVP of a supply chain management company, helping initiate the company’s consolidation with competitors to create a niche market leader in foodservice and retail, which was subsequently sold. That company today has a customer base of more than 4,000 companies and manages in excess of $200 billion annually in purchased volume. Vic has consulted for Fortune 500 clients on supply chain management and began his career at Morgan Stanley where he represented institutional and high net worth clients and was a recipient of the firm’s Insight Award.
Vic received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and his MBA from Kellogg School of Management. He also completed Harvard Business School’s executive program on managing the supply chain.
